The Courier-Mail’s Damien Tomlinson says the "scary part" of the coronavirus is just how it's been uncontrollable, however "there are buttons that could be pressed by the government as we prepare to try and stop this". The number of people who have contracted the disease has exceeded 90,000 worldwide, with 3,000 deaths. Over 90 per cent of the fatalities have been recorded in China, as the government struggles to contain the virus. The World Health Organisation said on Sunday that the death rate coronavirus appears to be between two and five per cent. Mr Tomlinson told Sky News the virus is "really out of control (as) there's more cases that pop up every day". "I must say it's very scary". "Thankfully it is not that serious of an influenza outbreak and if you catch it it's not an automatic death sentence".
